| dc.description | La relación entre corrupción y el desarrollo de la industria de drogas ilegales y del narcotráfico en un país es circular. La corrupción es simultáneamente causa y efecto de dichos desarrollos. Tanto la corrupción como el narcotráfico muchas veces son resultado de procesos de deslegitimación del régimen político y de deterioro de las instituciones sociales tanto civiles como oficiales y de la falta de capital social y confianza en la sociedad. El ensayo argumenta que la corrupción y el narcotráfico muchas veces son simplemente síntomas de problemas sociales más profundos. | spa |
| dc.description.abstract | The relationship between corruption and the development of the illegal drug industry and drug trafficking in a country is circular. Corruption is simultaneously cause and effect of this developments. Both corruption and drug trafficking are often the result of delegitimizing processess of the political regime and the deterioration of the social institutions, civil and official, and the lack of social capital and trust within society. I argue that corruption and drug trafficking are often symptoms of deeper social problems. | eng |
