Abstract
Miguel Urrutia Mora is a Colombian artist who took the term "independent film" to another level. Creator and founder of the Cinema Recursive movement, whose objective is to make people aware that film is not an industry and that creativity replaces money, encouraging them to make their own films and how he did it in recent years. Urrutia is not only a scriptwriter and director of her own productions, but also focuses her genius on building her own filming devices (steadycams, cranes and others) with rudimentary materials, but fully functional, skills that have led her to participate as a speaker in one of the TEDx Bogotá talks in 2012 and some others in different countries, besides being a jury and advisor for foreign funds. The proposal of Urrutia, -consigned in a manifesto that does the same thing- is radical, communitarian and invites to do the cinema that one wants to do at the cost. Based on this other look of cinema that promotes new techniques, physical freedom, autonomous, away from the hoarded national and global film industry, I want to make a report on this character, interspersed with a secondary narrative line that allows the reader to contextualize about the conventional processes of making films in Colombia and the importance and impact of the existence of this type of independent and inclusive initiatives.
