Resumen
Durante tres años, un sometimiento corporal, nutricional, social e inclusive espiritual, fue el insumo principal para un experimento etnográfico que tenía como propósito no solo entender como una práctica puede disolver dicotomías clásicas, sino también, como un experimento puede revelar nuevas formas de hacer investigación. A lo largo de este trabajo, el fisiculturismo es medio y fin en sí mismo, pues funcionó como un vehículo para entender fenómenos muy particulares y a su vez, fue una práctica sumamente adherente y reveladora. Se trabajaron variedad de temas alrededor de la práctica tales como la nutrición, la materialidad de la misma y la mediación farmacológica que tanto revuelo ha causado. Por otro lado, también se trabajó la posibilidad de utilizar al investigador como objeto de investigación, dejando su cuerpo en campo como parte del experimento mismo. Así, este trabajo tiene una doble reflexión, una teórica que se pregunta por las dicotomías como alma y cuerpo, y otra, totalmente metodológica que cuestiona la hegemonía metodológica de la antropología y los estudios sociales.
Abstract
For three years, a bodily, nutritional, social and even spiritual submission was the main input for an ethnographic experiment whose purpose was not only to understand how a practice can dissolve classic dichotomies, but also, as an experiment can reveal new ways of doing investigation. Throughout this work, bodybuilding is a way and an end in itself, since it functioned as a vehicle to understand very particular phenomena and, at the same time, it was an extremely adherent and revealing practice. A variety of topics around the practice were worked on, such as nutrition, the materiality of the same and the pharmacological mediation that caused such a stir. On the other hand, we also worked on the possibility of using the researcher as an object of research, leaving his body in the field as part of the experiment itself. Thus, this work has a double reflection, a theoretical one that asks about dichotomies as soul and body, and another, totally methodological that questions the methodological hegemony of anthropology and social studies.
