dc.descriptionEste artículo analiza las presuposiciones ontológicas del concepto de performatividad en dos perspectivas filosóficas contemporáneas sobre la construcción social de las realidades humanas. Mediante una discusión con Judith Butler y John Searle, dos 'filósofos de la performatividad', me propongo defender que nuestra capacidad creativa de crear instituciones sociales, el género y la subjetividad, presupone una comprensión del ser humano en tanto ser performativo. Siguiendo la perspectiva del realismo crítico y de la teoría de la emergencia, argumento que la performatividad se refiere a una estructura constitutiva del ser humano. A partir de una explicación de las características del ser performativo, así como de la estructura de la agencia performativa, sugiero que la performatividad humana nos invita a abrir un campo de investigación sobre la naturaleza estética del ser humano.spa
dc.description.abstractThis article analyses the ontological presuppositions of the concept of performativity in two current philosophical theories about the social construction of human realities. By means of a discussion with Judith Butler and John Searle, two ‘philosophers of performativity’, I will defend that our creative capacity to create social institutions, gender and subjectivity, presupposes an understanding of humans as performative beings. Following a critical realist perspective and the theory of emergence, I will argue that performativity refers to a constitutive structure of human beings. After outlining the characteristics of a performative being, as well as the structure of performative agency, I further suggest that human performativity invites us to open up an inquiry about the aesthetic nature of human beings.eng
