It is equipped, as well, with narrative resources that may enable stronger sympathy –expressed in laughter- with the audience than other journalism genres. Its credibility relies on its aptitude to equally criticize every power –and the powerful-, without complaisance. Moreover, in a democratic society, the criticism should exist without censorship. The golden age of political humour in Colombia took place in the nineties, until its biggest figure, Jaime Garzón, was murdered. This investigation aims to explore the reasons why, even though, after the crime, more T. V. shows of this type appeared on the screen, today Colombia has a null offer of political humour in national television. The possible answers may be found on new business models in the industry, polarization, and the scarcity or lack of promotion of screenwriters. In addition, internet has been a vehicle for the criticism towards the powers that find no room on the T. V. screen has been matter of interest in this investigation as well.}, keywords = {Humor político}, keywords = {Género de opinión}, keywords = {Opinión pública}, keywords = {Televisión}, keywords = {Internet}, keywords = {Producto audiovisual}, title = {Humor político audiovisual en Colombia : de los gloriosos años noventa en televisión a internet como alternativa}, publisher = {Universidad del Rosario}, keywords = {Political humour}, keywords = {Opinion journalism}, keywords = {Public opinion}, keywords = {Television}, keywords = {Internet}, keywords = {Audio-visual product}, }
