Methods: This is a cross sectional study with the aplication of a felt morbidity questionary, which include questions about demographic information, personal background and work history. The subjects fill a table with the last 6 months symptoms and their anatomical localization. The subjects also identify the most frecuent positions during their job trough a picture. Results: The most prevalent symptoms were right wrist pain (0,44; IC 95% 0,37 – 0,51), neck pain (0,43; IC95% 0,36 – 0,50), neck stiffness (0,33; IC95% 0,26 – 0,40) and right hand pain (0,36; IC95% 0,29 – 0,43). There were significant statistical differences within the gender and the presence of right wrist pain (26,1% male versus 73,9% female; p=0,005), right hand pain (25% male versus 75% female; p=0,008), right hand neurologic symptoms (19,4% versus 80,6%; p=0,001), and right shoulder pain (26,3% versus 73,7%; p=0,048). Also, there were significant statistical differences in the prevalence of right wrist pain according to the self perception of requirement in the performance (85,2% if the subject thinks he have more requirements, versus 14,8% if he thinks not; p=0,020). There were significant statistical differences in the report of any symptom located in wrists and hands in the subjects with wrist posture with permanent extension (right wrist 72,8%, p=0,001; left wrist 43,5%, p=0,020; right hand 62%, p=0,003). Conclusions: The principal symptom is pain, and the principal localization is the right wrist, the neck, the right hand and the right shoulder, with significant statistical differences within the gender and the posture of the wrists, which is sustained with the condition of work and the physiological answer to these.}, keywords = {Síntomas}, keywords = {miembro superior y cuello}, keywords = {prevalencias y factores de riesgo}, keywords = {call center}, title = {Prevalencia y factores asociados de síntomas osteomusculares en miembro superior y cuello en los trabajadores de un call center}, publisher = {Universidad del Rosario}, keywords = {Symptoms}, keywords = {upper limb, neck}, keywords = {Prevalence and risk factors}, keywords = {call center}, }
