The study seeks to determine the morbimortality in the population of premature newborn, to look for associated risk factors and to outline proposals to improve the cares of our patients. Materials and Methods: This is a cross-sectional analysis that included smaller newborn prematures than 1500 gr that had been hospitalized in the NICU in a 5 years period between January 2005 to December 2009. The dates was statistically analyzed, looking for differences among the groups that presented mortality and those that survived. Results: 106 clinical Histories were gathered, died (12,3%) and survived (87,7%) premature. The difference among the half weight of those that died and the survivors were of 387 grams (IC95% 245.5 at 528,5; p <0,05), bigger in the group survivor; the same as the difference among the weeks of gestation was of 2 weeks (IC95% 0.7 at 3,3; p <0,05) also bigger in the group survivor. The main childbirth indication was Premature Rupture of Membranes (23,1% and 25,8% respectively) and 87,7% was diagnosed with Hyaline Membrane Disease. Conclusion: The NICU presents statistical of premature mortality very below compare to world level, but due to the lack of the patients" pursuit that discharge is not possible the comparison with the data of the researchers found in the literature.}, keywords = {Recién nacido prematuro}, keywords = {Mortalidad}, title = {Morbimortalidad neonatal de los pretérminos de la unidad de cuidados intensivos de la Fundación Santafé de Bogotá}, publisher = {Universidad del Rosario}, keywords = {Mortality}, keywords = {Newborn Premature}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.48713/10336_2680 }, }
