Between August 2018 and August 2019. Methods: It is an observational, descriptive cross-sectional cohort study. Results: The medical records of 444 patients were analyzed, among which the highest percentage is given by women, of these patients the largest number are between 71 and 75 years old. On the other hand, the most frequent comorbidity is arterial hypertension, followed by hypothyroidism. With the initial medical evaluation, in 75% of the cases, there were ask for diagnostic images and laboratories. After the otolaryngology assessment, peripheral vertigo of labyrinthine origin was ruled out in 242 patients. Conclusion: Vertigo is a frequent symptom in the emergency department, among the associated comorbidities is mainly arterial hypertension, followed by hypothyroidism.
