abstract = {This project was made with the aim to design a management assessment tool to the Surcos Foundation. It construction has into account the foundation features and in general the characteristics of the organizations of the third sector. This sector, without generalizing, is characterized to have managers or executives who lack the necessary formal training to undertake the management of this type of organization. It is common to find that many of them are driven by their social commitment and dedication to aid, but unfortunately their profile differs from the required to carry the management and face the challenges that this job entails. In this order of ideas, the proposed tool is conceived for a basic and easy understand application, taking into account the practical knowledge that these managers provide to their organization. The development of the project includes the review of the concept of management, the implications of assessment in an organization and some models for management assessment. These aspects will constitute there reference for the development of the tool},
