Resumen
“Pacífico D.C.” muestra cómo las poblaciones afropacíficas integran y adaptan su cultura, fuera de su lugar de origen, a través de su música tradicional. Igualmente, expone sobre la importancia de Bogotá como como nuevo escenario de la cultura pacífica y como espacio estratégico para el contacto con mercado musical y los sonidos urbanos.
Abstract
Music as a symbol of cultural expression, resemble the role of identity construction. As a matter of fact, Colombian Pacific is characterized by the use of music as a representation of their history, myths and even to get the world aware of circumstances that affect the community. “Pacifico DC”, is a documentary that attempts to explain how the afropacific population, through the traditional music, involve and adapt their culture to a place different from his origin. Likewise, present the importance of Bogotá city as the new scenery of afropacific culture and strategic space for the mix of the music market and the urban sounds.
