Resumen
Esta es la historia de Imre Mikli y su llegada a un nuevo mundo. La tesis busca caracterizar las tensiones geopolíticas, económicas, culturales y sociales de la posguerra y la Guerra Fría, a través del itinerario experiencial de un inmigrante húngaro en su tránsito entre Europa y Colombia. Dicho tránsito se configura como un proceso físico, pero también imaginario entre el lugar de origen y el lugar de destino que configuraron la identidad y perspectivas del joven húngaro Imre Mikli, en su transformación vital para convertirse en el ciudadano colombiano Américo Mikli. La tesis realiza un ejercicio complejo de historización a través de una fuente central, la autobiografía escrita por Imre Mikli Vig/. en 1997 bajo el título de El Emigrante, un documento inédito por no haber sido nunca publicado, pero también por su concepción original. Al mismo tiempo desarrolla un juego de escalas históricas entre lo micro y lo macro que pretende hacer útil un documento familiar, para construir y debatir la historia de las migraciones trasatlánticas y su importancia para entender la configuración contemporánea de Europa y Colombia.
Abstract
This is the story of Imre Mikli and his arrival in a new world. The thesis seeks to characterize the post-war and Cold War geopolitical, economic, cultural, and social tensions, through the experiential itinerary of a Hungarian immigrant in his transit between Europe and Colombia. This transit is configured as a physical process, but also an imaginary one between the place of origin and the destination that shaped the identity and perspectives of the young Hungarian Imre Mikli, in his vital transformation to become the Colombian citizen Américo Mikli. The thesis develops a complex exercise of historization through a main source, the autobiography written by Imre Mikli Vig /. in 1997 under the title of El Emigrante, an unpublished document for never having been published, but also for its original conception. At the same time, it develops a set of historical scales between the micro and the macro that aims to make a family document useful, to build and debate the history of transatlantic migrations and their importance in understanding the contemporary configuration of Europe and Colombia.
