Resumen
Abstract
The concept of “predation” in the field of organization is usually associated with the deterioration of its resources. However, when a population ecology approach is used, there is a focus on the relationships between the players of the organization and the interaction of three main variables: the power of the players, the intimacy between them and the lethality of their actions. The latter two are requested on loan from the functional classification proposed by the ecology of populations and crucial in the predator-prey relationship. This paper exploits such knowledge in the ecology, and argues that their study provides an understanding of the management styles in the organization. © 2013 Universidad ICESI.
