Resumen
Abstract
This chapter intends to describe the sexual rights of persons with disabilities from two different perspectives. This research study is based on semi-structured interviews conducted with a man with visual disability and a psychiatrist. The determined time parameter was the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), which was ratified by the government of Colombia in 2009. With this historical landmark as a basis and the positions of before and after the Convention mentioned above, it is intended to establish how the sexual rights are positioned within the group of persons with disabilities, approached from voices both with a social and a medical focus. The structure of this document shows the most relevant laws, as well as the case law of the Constitutional Court referring to this issue in Colombia.
