Emotions are natural responses in humans that are projected as physiological, cognitive, and behavioral reactions. Acting involves emptional reactions throughout the artistic process, yet specific emotional reactions within this process remain unknown. This cross-sectional exploratory study aimed to investigate emotional responses and coping strategies in Musical Theatre students during different stages of the artistic process (preparation for auditions, auditions, staging, and performances) to provide recommendations for developing and integrating emotional management skills during their studies. The study involved 50 arbitrarily selected Musical Theatre students. Findings indicated a predominance of positive emotions throughout the artistic process, along with a high prevalence and intensity of stress and other emotions falling within the anxiety spectrum. Recommendations are made to optimize emotional management for students, and the results are discussed as follows.
