Real Carga Ltda, historia y cómo se enfrentó a la crisis del COVID - 19.
Summary
Real Carga Ltda es una agencia de carga internacional dedicada al transporte aéreo de mercancías, principalmente de flores frescas desde Colombia y Ecuador. Fue fundada el 22 de Julio de 1986 y a partir del año 2002 la compañía pasó a manos de la familia Bernal Bustos quienes hoy en día la administran. Una vez la nueva administración toma el control de la compañía le cambia el enfoque a la coordinación para la exportación de flores desde Colombia y Ecuador, iniciando con unas pequeñas participaciones en los mercados de España, Reino Unido, Holanda y Puerto Rico. Hoy en día ya se tienen participación en más de 30 mercados a nivel mundial. La empresa fue administrada por Ernesto Bernal en su totalidad hasta junio de 2012 cuando el primer integrante de la segunda generación ingresa a la compañía a apoyar las áreas de ventas y operaciones de la compañía, actualmente Andrés aún se encuentra en la compañía dirigiendo las áreas de ventas operaciones. En el año 2015 la segunda integrante de la segunda generación a apoyar el área financiera, dado que elle cuenta con amplios estudios en esta área. Diana, aún se encuentra en la compañía dirigiendo el área financiera. Una vez establecido el nuevo funcionamiento con los tres integrantes de la familia se ha logrado dar a la compañía una sinergia importante entre sus partes para lograr un funcionamiento armónico que le ha permitido crecer y mantener sus ideales a lo largo de los años. Se busca que el texto describa la historia de la compañía desde sus inicios pasando por todos los hechos históricos que la han afectado hasta la actualidad y se llega a la época actual donde se describen las decisiones tomadas frente a la crisis generada por la pandemia del COVID – 19 y cuales fueron los factores para salir de manera exitosa de esta crisis. Por último, se detallan los planes a corto plazo de la compañía basándose en los resultados que se han venido dando en tiempos de crisis mundial.
Abstract
Real Carga Ltda is an international freight forwarder focused on the sir transport for good, mainly fresh cut flowers from Colombia and Ecuador. It was founded on July 1986 and since the year 2002 the company went under control of the Bernal Bustos family who currently manage the company. Once the new management took control over the company, it changed its focus to coordinate fresh cut flowers exports from Colombia and Ecuador, beginning back then with small participations in markets such as Spain, United Kingdom, The Netherlands and Puerto Rico. Currently the company has participations in over 30 markets worldwide. The organization was managed totally by Ernesto Bernal until June 2012 when the first member of the second generation of the family entered the company to give support to the sales and operations areas. Currently, Andres works still in the company taking care of the sales and operations areas. In 2015, the second member of the second generation entered the company to support the financial area given she had great studies on this subject. Diana is still working with organization taking care of all the financial areas. Once the new functionality of the company was established with the three members of the family, a great synergy between the parts has been achieved reaching a harmonic functionality which has allowed it to grow and maintain its ideals through the years. The idea of the text is to describe the history of the company since its beginning passing through all the historic events that had affected it until the present and reaching the current times where the decisions made to face the COVID – 19 crisis are described and the key factors to be successful over the crisis are remarked. Finally, the details of the short term plans the company has are exposed and they are based on the results after the begging of the crisis.
