Resumen
Esta tesis tiene por objetivo explorar y analizar cómo se ha escrito la historia de las matemáticas en Colombia, enfocándose especialmente en toda la producción historiográfica creada entre 1973 a 2017. Este trabajo muestra cómo esta historia ha sido escrita casi exclusivamente por matemáticos, quienes sentían la necesidad de comenzar a crear una autentica historia de las matemáticas en el país y establecer una comunidad dedicada a hacer, pensar y estructurar una historia de las matemáticas nacional. El tema fue elegido no solo por interés personal sino también porque considero relevante comprender cómo se ha construido y creado historia en campos científicos en Colombia, algo en lo que todavía se debe trabajar. La casi total ausencia de trabajos historiográficos también ha motivado a realizar este trabajo investigativo. Así, pues, la justificación de este trabajo recae en que se quiere llenar un vacío en la historiografía. Las matemáticas han sido invisibilizadas en su desarrollo histórico, excepto, claro está, por la comunidad de matemáticos. Por otra parte, también se quiere dar la oportunidad a que el lector pueda comprender y entender cómo han sido los procesos de escritura de esa historia, así como los diferentes elementos que serán mencionados en el objetivo principal.
Abstract
This thesis aims to explore and analyze how the history of mathematics has been written in Colombia, focusing especially on all the historiographic production created between 1973 to 2017. This work shows how this history has been written almost exclusively by mathematicians, who felt the need to begin to create an authentic history of mathematics in the country and establish a community dedicated to making, thinking and structuring a national history of mathematics. The topic was chosen not only out of personal interest but also because I consider it relevant to understand how history has been built and created in scientific fields in Colombia, something that still needs to be worked on. The almost total absence of historiographical works has also motivated to carry out this investigative work. Thus, the justification for this work lies in the fact that it wants to fill a void in historiography. Mathematics has been made invisible in its historical development, except, of course, by the mathematician community. On the other hand, we also want to give the reader the opportunity to understand and understand how the writing processes of that story have been, as well as the different elements that will be mentioned in the main objective.
