Resumen
En una IPS privada de tercer nivel en la ciudad de Bogotá, se hace evaluación de la unidad dedicada al manejo de la espasticidad organizada hace 4 meses y que se encuentra actualmente en ejecución. En este escrito se pretende analizar su conformación y estado actual de la unidad como unidad de negocio para la institución. La espasticidad es una patología dolorosa, deformante y discapacitante con un pronóstico funcional limitado. Tal vez esto sea la explicación del porque no hay en Colombia, hasta el momento, un estudio estadístico de la incidencia y prevalencia sumado quizás a que es secuela y no patología primaria, así como tampoco se encuentra información sobre el costo beneficio de tratar esta condición que se convierte en una patología de alto costo si se analiza desde el punto de vista de costo social y laboral. Se quiere dar a conocer en que consiste esta unidad, el sector de la población a quienes va dirigida, y su propuesta de valor que es el principal objetivo al iniciar la unidad de negocio en la IPS. Así mismo, se analizará las actividades claves que ofrece y como se puede convertir en una no despreciable fuente de ingresos al generar costo por si misma y derivar en más productos que se ofertan a las EPS. Se podrá observar la adecuada interacción entre especialistas médicos para poder ofrecer a cada paciente el mejor manejo posible y poder establecer las metas a cumplir con el tratamiento ya sea quirúrgico o médico. Se evalúa las debilidades, amenazas, oportunidades y fortalezas de la unidad con el fin de determinar si es una unidad de negocio sostenible y cumple con los objetivos específicos de la institución.
Abstract
In a third-level private IPS in the city of Bogotá, an evaluation is made of the unit dedicated to the management of spasticity, organized 4 months ago and currently underway. In this writing it is intended to analyze its conformation and current state of the unit as a business unit for the institution. Spasticity is a painful, disfiguring, and disabling condition with a limited functional prognosis. Perhaps this is the explanation why there is no statistical study of the incidence and prevalence in Colombia, added perhaps to the fact that it is a sequela and not a primary pathology, as well as no information on the cost benefit of treating this condition that it becomes a high-cost pathology if it is analyzed from the social and labor cost point of view. We want to make known what this unit consists of the sector of the population to whom it is directed, and its value proposition, which is the main objective when starting the business unit at IPS. Likewise, the key activities it offers will be analyzed and how it can become a non-negligible source of income by generating cost by itself and resulting in more products that are offered to EPS. It will be possible to observe the adequate interaction between medical specialists to be able to offer each patient the best possible management and to be able to establish the goals to comply with the treatment, whether surgical or medical. The weaknesses, threats, opportunities, and strengths of the unit are evaluated in order to determine if it is a sustainable business unit and meets the specific objectives of the institution.
