Resumen
La vida cotidiana transcurre en medio de infraestructuras que se expanden, se contraen, se deterioran, se renuevan, aparecen y desaparecen. Pensemos en la interconexión vial Yatí-Bodega en las llanuras del Caribe colombiano. Este mega-proyecto consiste en una infraestructura vial de 12 kilómetros que incluye 2 puen-tes: Santa Lucía, de 1 kilómetro de longitud, y Roncador, de 2,3 kilómetros. Este último es el puente más largo del país. El objetivo de esta obra fue permitir la comunicación terrestre en la Depresión Momposina, una zona inundable donde el movimiento abrupto y constante de las aguas de ríos y ciénagas pone serios desa-fíos al transporte terrestre. Por esta razón la obra fue pensada como una estrate-gia de adaptación al cambio climático. Igualmente, la infraestructura conecta las dos vías más importantes a nivel nacional, disminuye los tiempos de espera para atravesar el río Magdalena y acorta el tiempo en la comunicación con el interior del país. Abstract
Daily life takes place in the midst of infrastructures that expand, contract, deteriorate, renew, appear and disappear. Consider the Yatí-Bodega road interconnection in the Colombian Caribbean plains. This mega-project consists of a 12-kilometer road infrastructure that includes two bridges: Santa Lucía, 1 kilometer long, and Roncador, 2.3 kilometers long. The latter is the longest bridge in the country. The purpose of this project was to enable land communication in the Momposina Depression, a flood-prone area where the abrupt and constant movement of the waters of rivers and swamps poses serious challenges to land transportation. For this reason, the project was conceived as a climate change adaptation strategy. Likewise, the infrastructure connects the two most important national roads, reduces waiting times to cross the Magdalena River and shortens communication time with the interior of the country. Inaugurated in March 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, this new highway will be the first of its kind in the country.
