Resumen
En el Chocó, el canto tiene un poder trascendental; ayuda a darle la bienvenida a nuevos seres, a despedir a las almas, y a alegrar o sanar los corazones de quienes continúan vivos, además, sirve para expresar y comunicar diversos sentimientos de la comunidad afrochocoana. Los cantos ritualísticos son el resultado del sincretismo entre la herencia cultural de los misioneros franciscanos, de origen español, establecidos en el territorio como parte de las misiones evangélicas de la Iglesia Católica en épocas de la colonia, qué, al mismo tiempo, se fue mezclando con la cosmovisión y las prácticas ancestrales de la afrodiáspora. ‘Afrodelia: Voces de la selva’, es un documental en el que músicos, profesores, líderes comunitarios, rezanderos, parteras y cantadores, chocoanos, reconstruyen su historia ritual y musical a través de remembranzas, ritmos, actos ´religiosos´ y ´paganos´, rezos y cantos característicos del Departamento. A medida que transcurre la narración, se esclarece la tensión que existe entre los habitantes de la comunidad frente al canto de cuna, gualí y alabado (cantos fúnebres de alabanza); ¿Estos cantos tradicionales aún mantienen la pureza de su ancestralidad, se han transformado o más aún están desapareciendo? Un retrato donde algunos salvaguardan a sus ancestros mediante propuestas para contrarrestar el olvido cultural y se encargan de replicar estas prácticas en su comunidad, donde las mujeres desempeñan roles comunitarios fundamentales y donde confluyen las características más importantes de la música negra. Se da a conocer, entonces, el propósito del canto como manifestación cultural y, a su vez, el cómo la globalización, la tecnología, la educación, la violencia, entre otros factores, lo intervienen, atraviesan y, finalmente, le permiten hacer una metamorfosis.
Abstract
In Chocó, singing has a transcendental power; It helps to welcome new beings, to say goodbye to souls, and to brighten or heal the hearts of those who are still alive. In addition, it serves to express and communicate various feelings of the Afro-Chocoan community. The ritualistic songs are the result of the syncretism between the cultural heritage of the Franciscan missionaries, of Spanish origin, established in the territory as part of the evangelical missions of the Catholic Church in colonial times, which, at the same time, was mixing with the worldview and ancestral practices of the Afrodiaspora. 'Afrodelia: Voices of the jungle' is a documentary in which musicians, teachers, community leaders, prayer men, midwives and singers, Chocoans, reconstruct their ritual and musical history through remembrances, rhythms, 'religious' and 'pagan' acts. . ', prayers and songs characteristic of the Department. As the narrative progresses, the tension that exists between the inhabitants of the community regarding the crib song, gualí and alabado (funeral songs of praise) becomes clear; Do these traditional songs still maintain the purity of their ancestry, have they been transformed or are they even disappearing? A portrait where some safeguard their ancestors through proposals to counteract cultural oblivion and are responsible for replicating these practices in their community, where women play fundamental community roles and where the most important characteristics of black music come together. The purpose of singing as a cultural manifestation is then made known and, in turn, how globalization, technology, education, violence, among other factors, intervene, cross it and, finally, allow it to make a metamorphosis.
