Resumen
La educación sexual es fundamental para el desarrollo óptimo de la salud física y mental de los niños, niñas y adolescentes; no obstante, esta ha estado influenciada por los pensamientos religiosos y políticos de las instituciones educativas, o, simplemente, está ausente del currículo. Este trabajo tiene como propósito diseñar una herramienta educativa virtual con enfoque en cuatro de los derechos sexuales y reproductivos establecidos por el Fondo de Población de las Naciones Unidas (UNFPA) con base en un análisis documental y los juicios de estudiantes entre 18 y 23 años de la Escuela de Ciencias Humanas de la Universidad del Rosario, sobre la cátedra de educación sexual que les fue impartida durante su etapa escolar. Esto se efectuó por medio de una investigación dividida en dos partes. Por un lado, se realizaron seis entrevistas semiestructuradas y un grupo focal y, por el otro, se hizo un análisis documental. Como resultado, se diseña “Atreverse a Desear” una página web con información sexual y de derechos sexuales y reproductivos, que permita empoderar a los niños, niñas, adolescentes y adultos jóvenes para que tomen decisiones informadas y responsables sobre su salud.
Abstract
Sexual education is essential for the optimal development of the physical and mental health of children and adolescents; however, this has been influenced by the religious and political thoughts of educational institutions or is simply absent from the curriculum. The purpose of this work is to design a virtual educational tool with a focus on four of the sexual and reproductive rights established by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) based on a documentary analysis and the judgments of students between 18 and 23 years of age from the School of Human Sciences of the Universidad del Rosario, about the sexual education that was taught to them during their school years. This was carried out through an investigation divided into two parts. On one hand, six semi-structured interviews and one focus group were carried out and, on the other, a documentary analysis was carried out. As a result, “Dare to Desire” is designed, a website with sexual information and sexual and reproductive rights, which empowers children, adolescents and young adults to make informed and responsible decisions about their health.
