Resumen
Este estudio se centra en la estimación de la productividad total de factores (PTF) para once departamentos y diecisiete divisiones industriales en Colombia durante el período 2018 al 2021 usando el método de estimación semi paramétrico desarrollado por Levinsohn y Petrin (2003), conocido como método LP. Para ello, se emplean los datos recopilados por el DANE en la Encuesta Anual Manufacturera.
Abstract
This study focuses on estimating total factor productivity (TFP) for eleven departments and seventeen industrial divisions in Colombia during the period from 2018 to 2021, using the semi-parametric estimation method developed by Levinsohn and Petrin (2003), known as the LP method. The data used for this estimation was collected by DANE through the Annual Manufacturing Survey. The main objective is to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on productivity at both the departmental and sectoral levels and to understand its consequences on the overall performance of the Colombian manufacturing industry.
