dc.descriptionEste es un trabajo observacional descriptivo tipo serie de casos que pretende describir el desenlace del uso de suero autólogo como adyuvante en el cierre anatómico y mejoría de la agudeza visual en pacientes con agujero macular idiopático y persistente, llevados a un segundo tiempo quirúrgico donde se realiza vitrectomía posterior + remoción de membrana limitante interna + suero autólogo + gas en la Fundación Oftalmológica Nacional entre Enero de 2019 y Enero de 2022. Se ha propuesto en la literatura que el uso de suero autólogo como adyuvante de cirugía vitreorretiniana para agujero macular aumenta el porcentaje de cierre anatómico, así como el pronóstico visual.
dc.description.abstractThis is an observational descriptive case series study that aims to describe the outcome of the use of autologous serum as an adjuvant in the anatomical closure and improvement of visual acuity in patients with idiopathic and persistent macular hole, who underwent a second surgical procedure where posterior vitrectomy + internal limiting membrane removal + autologous serum + gas was performed at the National Ophthalmological Foundation from January 2019 to January 2022. In the literature, it has been proposed that the use of autologous serum as an adjuvant to vitreoretinal surgery for macular hole increases the percentage of anatomical closure, as well as the visual prognosis
