dc.description.abstract | In physiotherapy, the use of new technologies in rehabilitation has been increasing in recent years (Lum, Reinkensmeyer, Mahoney, Rymer, & Burgar, 2002). There is still very little evidence that makes it clear what makes a physiotherapist use certain technology or what factors are decisive for the acceptance of some technologies by therapists (Gaggioli, Keshner, Weiss, & Riva, 2009). has the conception that many rehabilitation professionals are uncomfortable with technology and fear that it can take the place of individualized interactions with patients; It is also not clear whether physiotherapists would even agree to use new technologies even when they are available as treatment options (Chen and Bode, 2011). That is why the objective of this work is to identify the personal, technological and social factors that influence the acceptance and use of new technology in rehabilitation by physiotherapists in a rehabilitation center in the municipality of Chía; contributing to the construction of knowledge in the field of rehabilitation sciences, as it is in the line of technological studies in rehabilitation and helps to transfer scientific-technological knowledge that supports the evaluation of technologies in rehabilitation. For the development of this study, a mixed methods design will be carried out with a recurrent triangulation strategy where initially a quantitative survey will be carried out with a 5-point Likert scale that will be sent via email to each of the participants; and, subsequently, semi-structured interviews were conducted with the physiotherapists until the saturation point was reached where questions were asked related to the attitudes, emotions, motivations or feelings that physiotherapists experience with the use of new technology in rehabilitation | spa |
