dc.description.abstractDuring the past 20 years distinct strands of critical thinking in International Relations (IR) have emerged on the ‘misfit’ between key themes, concepts, and categories in the field, and the ways in which the ‘interna-tional’ is experienced in distinct countries outside the North; the problematic domi-nance of Western and ‘American’ IR; and the differences and similarities inherent in the field as practiced around the globe.
