Resumen
La tecnología es uno de los avances más grandes de la humanidad y la creación de nuevas herramientas como la Inteligencia Artificial suponen un reto extraordinario, pues los saltos tecnológicos cada vez se hacen más cortos, la creación de nuevas tecnologías se hace cada vez más frecuente y su implementación en la sociedad cada vez es más inmediata. La Inteligencia Artificial es una herramienta creada recientemente que ha brindado ventajas extraordinarias en la sociedad moderna, una sociedad que gira en torno al mundo digital y en la que varios procesos se han venido automatizando gracias a la tecnología. Este tipo de herramientas como lo son Chat Gpt, Gemini, Claude, Ariel, entre otras empresas que prestan servicios de inteligencia artificial han traído ciertos beneficios a sus usuarios, como lo son; el acceso inmediato a la información, la simplificación de conocimiento, la economía de tiempo en labores, la automatización de procesos mecánicos, entre otras. Sin embargo, si bien este tipo de herramientas suponen amplios beneficios para sus usuarios, también suponen riesgos que hasta ahora se empiezan a estudiar en el mundo académico. Como todo producto nuevo, se requiere de un cierto tiempo en que este se encuentre en uso para poder identificar posibles riesgos con fundamento científico y para el objeto de esta investigación hemos decidido centrarnos en los riesgos a la salud y al desarrollo cognitivo que supone la utilización de la inteligencia artificial en entornos educativos. Riesgos que han venido siendo documentados por instituciones como el MIT y que configuran el sustento de esta investigación. Investigación que nace por una profunda preocupación al evidenciar que cada vez los jóvenes reaccionan menos por sí mismos y cada vez más delegan todas sus actividades académicas a una inteligencia artificial para que las realice por ellos. El propósito fundamental de esta investigación es lograr comprender el impacto real que tiene la utilización de la Inteligencia Artificial en los procesos cognitivos y de aprendizaje de las nuevas generaciones, el alcance de dichos efectos en la sociedad colombiana universitaria a través de encuestas realizadas a grupos focales y como producto o resultado de la misma una serie de propuestas que vayan acorde con los lineamientos dispuestos por organizaciones como la UNESCO, propuestas que vayan orientadas a proteger el proceso de aprendizaje de las nuevas generaciones sin que esto implique prohibir la utilización de valiosas herramientas tecnológicas.
Abstract
Technology is one of the biggest conquers of humanity, and the creation of new tools such as Artificial Intelligence brings new and extraordinary challenges. Technology breakthroughs are coming faster and faster, as the creation of new technologies becomes more frequent and its implementation on society more immediate. Artificial Intelligence is a tool recently created which has brought a lot of extraordinary advantages to our modern society, a society that spins around the digital world and one in which various processes have been automatized thanks to technology. These kinds of tools, such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Ariel, among others, have brought certain benefits to its users, such as immediate access to information and knowledge, the simplification of knowledge, time economy in many labors, the automatization of mechanic processes, among many others. Nevertheless, this kind of tools come with certain risks that are just starting to be researched among the academic world As every new product, it is required a certain amount of time of the product being used in order to identify the risks with certainty and scientific support, therefore for the object of this investigation we have decided to take a closer look to the risks to health and cognitive development that the use of this kind of tools can bring to its users.These risks have been recognized and studied by many authors and big institutions such as the MIT, and they constitute the bases of this research. Research is born from our deep concern, as we see in our environment how young people are starting to lose their critical thinking and are starting to delegate everything, including all their academic works to Artificial Intelligence for it to make all the work for them. The fundamental aim of this research is to deeply comprehend the real impact that the constant use on tools of Artificial Intelligence can have on the cognitive process and learning process of the new generations and the extend of this effects on the colombian university context throughout surveys made to students and teachers on their experience and perception of the use of AI on educational environments. As a result of which we pretend, by the end of this investigation, to deliver a series of recommendations that obey the spirit of the frameworks proposed by the international community and organizations such as UNESCO, this recommendations will have their aim on protecting the learning and cognitive process and development of new generations while the integrations and implementation of AI takes place on our society and on education.
