dc.descriptionLos mapas de ciencia (science mapping) son empleados para cartografiar las fronteras y pilares del conocimiento. Este trabajo presenta un compendio de mapas de la investigación en administración en América Latina y el Caribe (ALC) para el período 1998-2018. Se generó una visualización de redes para ALC (2018-2014) y para cada uno de los países de la región (1998-2018). Se empleó el acoplamiento bibliográfico a una muestra de más de 17 000 artículos extraídos de la base de datos bibliográficos Scopus. También se computaron propiedades de densidad e intermediación a cada red. El campo con mayor intermediación es la administración de la cadena de suministro y procesos de asociados con su desarrollo de manera sostenible. Otros campos con elevada intermediación son: estudios sobre el comportamiento del consumidor en los sectores de agricultura orgánica, ecoturismo y adopción de la innovación; multilatinas y Mipymes; proyectos de producción limpia en alianza universidad-empresa; estrategias de mejora continua en productividad y desempeño; estudios de género enfocados en el desarrollo de mujeres en cargos ejecutivos; y gestión de fondos de inversión y adopción de estándares contables. Se dispone el acceso abierto a los archivos para la elaboración del estudio.spa
dc.description.abstractScience mapping is used for drawing knowledge fronts and foundations. This study presents a set of maps of the research on management in Latin-America and the Caribbean (LAC) for the period (1998-2018). More than 17 000 articles were gathered from the bibliographic database Scopus and interrelated via bibliographic coupling. Network density and nodes’ betweenness were calculated. The research field with the highest betweenness was supply chain management and sustainable-related processes. The following fields/ topics were consumer behavior toward organic agriculture, ecotourism and innovation adoption, multilatinas and smes; cleaner production via corporateacademic alliances; continual improvement strategies for productivity and performance; gender studies focused on executive women career development; and funds management and accounting standards. All archives used for this study are open access.spa
