Intervenciones multimodales enfocadas en la percepción de la calidad de vida de personas mayores con enfermedad de Alzheimer: una revisión de alcance

dc.descriptionObjetivo: Identificar las intervenciones multimodales enfocadas en la percepción de la calidad de vida de las personas mayores de 60 años con EA, publicadas en la literatura científica entre el año 2009 y 2022, mediante una revisión de alcance. Metodología: diseño metodológico de revisión de alcance, planteado por JBI y PRISMA ScR, el cual permite identificar conceptos al realizar una revisión profunda sobre la literatura científica. Incluye estudios experimentales, cuasi experimentales y observacionales en idioma inglés y español que desarrollen intervenciones multimodales en personas mayores de 60 años con EA en la percepción de la calidad de vida, entre enero de 2009 a diciembre de 2022. A lo cual el equipo investigador se reunió para identificar bases de datos relevantes con literatura científica enfocada en salud, seleccionando PubMed, EBSCO. Seguido, se determinó los términos DeSC y MeSH: Quality of Life, Alzheimer Disease Disease y en el descriptor DeCS: Calidad de Vida, Enfermedad de Alzheimer. La selección de evidencia se clasificó en extracción por medio del Software Zotero® y la selección por medio del software Rayyan®. Finalmente, se realizó la lectura completa de los artículos y se realizó una valoración crítica de los artículos por medio de las escalas CONSORT y STROBE, se seleccionaron los artículos que tuvieran más del 40% de aprobación. Resultados: Los artículos incluidos para síntesis y revisión fueron un total de 17 artículos de tipo experimental (ensayos controlados aleatorizados ECA). Se evidenció heterogeneidad de las intervenciones, las cuales fueron agrupadas en cuatro categorías, siendo la más relevante la rehabilitación cognitiva, seguido de las intervenciones basadas en educación, por último, intervenciones basadas en actividad y ejercicio físico y arteterapia. Finalmente, se evidenció que los años con mayor investigación en el área fueron los años 2017 y 2020. Adicionalmente, estos estudios son realizados con mayor predominio en el continente europeo, específicamente en Portugal, Alemania y Francia. Conclusiones: Las intervenciones multimodales enfocadas en la percepción de la calidad de vida de las personas con EA, demuestran la importancia de integrar los diferentes y diversos aspectos que inciden en la salud de las personas con EA, siempre teniendo en cuenta las preferencias de la persona, el estadio de la enfermedad y su cuidador.
dc.description.abstractObjective: To identify multimodal interventions focused on the perception of quality of life in people over 60 years of age with AD, published in the scientific literature between 2009 and 2022, through a scoping review. Methodology: methodological design of scoping review, proposed by JBI and PRISMA ScR, which allows to identify concepts by conducting a thorough review of the scientific literature. It includes experimental, quasi-experimental and observational studies in English and Spanish that develop multimodal interventions in people over 60 years of age with AD in the perception of quality of life, between January 2009 and December 2022. To which the research team met to identify relevant databases with scientific literature focused on health, selecting PubMed, EBSCO. Next, the terms DeSC and MeSH were determined: Quality of Life, Alzheimer Disease Disease and in the descriptor DeCS: Quality of Life, Alzheimer Disease. The selection of evidence was classified into extraction by means of Zotero® Software and selection by means of Rayyan® software. Finally, the articles were completely read and a critical evaluation of the articles was made by means of the CONSORT and STROBE scales; the articles with more than 40% approval were selected. Results: The articles included for synthesis and review were a total of 17 articles of experimental type (randomized controlled trials RCT). Heterogeneity of the interventions was evidenced, which were grouped into four categories, the most relevant being cognitive rehabilitation, followed by interventions based on education, and finally, interventions based on physical activity and exercise and art therapy. Finally, it was evidenced that the years with the most research in the area were 2017 and 2020. Additionally, these studies are conducted with greater predominance in the European continent, specifically in Portugal, Germany and France. Conclusions: Multimodal interventions in the perception of the quality of life of people with AD demonstrate the importance of integrating the different and diverse aspects that affect the health of people with AD, always taking into account the preferences of the person, the stage of the disease and their caregiver.
