Resumen
Abstract
The film Encanto (Walt Disney Pictures, 2021), directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, symbolically addresses the aftermath of forced displacement and structural violence. Through the story of the Madrigal family and the enigmatic figure of Bruno, it represents the silence and invisibility that accompany those who have had to flee due to persecution or violence. The film shows how silence can become a mechanism of social discipline that hides personal traumas and political demands, and raises the need to break it in order to make visible the struggles and realities of people in situations of displacement.
