Resumen
Desde una perspectiva interseccional y fundamentada en el afrofeminismo, se analiza el rol histórico y social de las mujeres afrodescendientes en Colombia, quienes, han liderado procesos de cohesión y sanación comunitaria en contextos de racismo estructural y violencia, derivados de la trata transatlántica de personas africanas. De forma paralela, se revisa el marco histórico-jurídico de la esclavitud y la trata transatlántica y cómo, ante las limitaciones del Derecho Internacional de los Derechos Humanos (DIDH) y la aplicación de una justicia restaurativa que pretenda abordar crímenes de tal magnitud, las mujeres afrodescendientes son quienes se presentan como poderosas agentes de cambio, liderando la lucha por un futuro más justo a través de sus actos de resistencia. Finalmente, se realiza la apuesta conceptual de las afro-reparaciones, las cuáles deben trascender las acciones afirmativas para incluir transformaciones sociales profundas, garantizando la memoria, el reconocimiento y la justicia integral para las comunidades afrodescendientes.
Abstract
From an intersectional perspective and based on Afro-feminism, this paper analyzes the historical and social role of Afro-descendant women in Colombia. These women have played leadership roles in promoting community cohesion and healing in contexts of structural racism and violence related to the transatlantic trafficking of African people. In parallel, it reviews of the historical-legal framework of slavery and the transatlantic slave trade will be addressed. In light of the limitations imposed by International Human Rights Law (IHRL) and the implementation of a restorative justice system designed to address crimes of such magnitude, Afro-descendant women are identified as agents of change, leading the struggle for a more just future through their acts of resistance. Finally, it formulates the conceptual commitment to Afro-descendant reparations, which must go beyond affirmative action to encompass profound social transformations that guarantee memory, recognition and comprehensive justice for Afro-descendant communities.
