| dc.description | Aborda dos temáticas de mucha actualidad para los estudios urbanos. De un lado, la progresiva convergencia entre la seguridad y los riesgos como políticas de interven-ción gubernamental urbana. De otro, el progresivo pero incompleto abandono de la “visión modernista” anclada a la idea de un mejor futuro que ha estado detrás de las grandes ideas y proyectos urbanos en el último siglo y medio, como ya lo han aborda-do diferentes investigadores (Harvey 2003; Davis 1999). Las dos temáticas señaladas confluyen además en mostrar cómo en este contexto, el resultado puede ahondar e intensificar las profundas desigualdades e injusticias espaciales de las que han adolecido las metrópolis del Sur Global.Zeiderman toma como caso de estudio a Bogotá. | dc.description.abstract | It addresses two very topical themes for urban studies. On the one hand, the progressive convergence between security and risks as urban government intervention policies. On the other, the progressive but incomplete abandonment of the “modernist vision” anchored to the idea of a better future that has been behind great ideas and urban projects in the last century and a half, as different researchers have already addressed ( Harvey 2003; Davis 1999). The two themes mentioned also converge in showing how in this context, the result can deepen and intensify the deep inequalities and spatial injustices that the metropolises of the Global South have suffered. Zeiderman takes Bogotá as a case study.
