Abstract
Access to justice is a fundamental right in Colombia, recognized by the Constitution and extensively developed by constitutional jurisprudence. However, this access is not guaranteed on equal terms for all citizens, as there are still vulnerable population groups that face multiple obstacles in exercising their rights. These difficulties are largely due to factors such as legal ignorance, lack of clear and accessible information, and economic constraints that limit the possibility of seeking the assistance of legal professionals or judicial and administrative bodies. Given this reality, the ProBono Colombia Foundation plays an essential role in promoting substantive justice by providing free legal advice in different areas of law. Its fundamental purpose is to overcome the structural and social barriers that prevent many people from accessing adequate legal representation, providing technical and professional support that contributes to guaranteeing fundamental rights. During my internship with the ProBono program, I focused my work mainly on labor and social security law, with a special emphasis on pension issues.
