dc.descriptionLas complicaciones mecánicas del infarto agudo de miocardio, a pesar de su baja incidencia, representan un alto riesgo de mortalidad. El tratamiento de la ruptura del septo ventricular (RSV), aunque poco frecuente en esta era de trombolisis, representa un desafío incluso en grandes centros de referencia. Evaluamos las características de los pacientes con RSV que se sometieron a tratamiento quirúrgico en nuestra institución, sus resultados a corto plazo, y postulamos un algoritmo de manejo institucional basado en estos resultados.spa
