Efectos del entrenamiento por aceleración en el desempeño neuromuscular en pacientes con osteoartrosis de rodilla : ensayo clínico controlado

dc.descriptionLa fuerza muscular y el dolor son los factores neuromusculares más influyentes en los pacientes con Osteoartrosis (OA) de rodilla. Sin embargo, la tasa de desarrollo de la fuerza podría ser muy relevante en estos pacientes. EL objetivo del estudio fue evaluar los efectos del entrenamiento por aceleración (WBV) + ejercicios de resistencia (RT) Vs RT sin vibración sobre el rendimiento neuromuscular isométrico y dinámico de los miembros inferiores (MMII) en pacientes con OA de rodilla. Se llevó a cabo un ensayo clínico controlado simple con 60 sujetos (edad de 48 años + 14.2) con diagnóstico o en riesgo de OA de rodilla físicamente activos. Se les evaluó su desempeño neuromuscular dinámico con el test Sit to Stand (STS), e isométrico con el test de leg press-ISO (ISO). Se distribuyeron aleatoriamente dos grupos Se ejecutó entre Agosto a Octubre de 2017. El entrenamiento era 3 veces por semana, durante 12 semanas con una duración de 10- 15 minutos. Un grupo Control (CON) realizó solo RT de MMII y otro grupo realizo RT de MMII + vibración (WBV). Se encontraron resultados significativos a favor del entrenamiento de resistencia sin vibración en algunas variables, sin embargo en relación al dolor, el entrenamiento por aceleración abtuvo resultados significativos. Adicionar vibración a RT por 12 semanas no resulta más eficaz en la mejora del desempeño neuromuscular en MMII que el entrenamiento de RT sin vibración en pacientes con OA de rodilla.spa
dc.description.abstractMuscle strength and pain are the most influential neuromuscular factors in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee. However, the rate of strength development could be really important in these patients. The main for this study was evaluate the effects of Whole Body Vibration (WBV) + resistance training (RT) Vs only RT without vibration (CON) on the isometric and dynamic neuromuscular performance of the lower limbs in patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA). A simple controlled clinical trial was conducted with 60 physically active subjects. (Age 48 years + 14.2) with diagnosis or at risk of knee OA. Their dynamic neuromuscular performance was evaluated with the Sit to Stand test (STS), and isometric with the leg press-ISO test (ISO). Two groups were randomly distributed. It was executed between August and October of 2017. Later, the training was 3 times a week, for 12 weeks with a duration of 10-15 minutes. CON group performed only RT of lower limbs and other groups performed RT of lower limbs + vibration (WBV). There were results significant differences for CON group but el WBV group has significant differences when the topic was the pain. Adding WBV to RT for 12 weeks is no more effective in improving lower limb neuromuscular performance than RT without vibration in patients with knee osteoarthritis.eng
