Resumen
El presente artículo pretende demostrar que el concepto de slitting que introduce Ferenczi difiere cualitativamente del Spaltung freudiano y es novedoso para la clínica psicoanalítica. Durante el recorrido, se busca esclarecer la confusión que existe con respecto a los conceptos splitting y Spaltung en la literatura psicoanalítica y rescatar así la novedad del aporte ferencziano. De este modo, el artículo define el concepto de splitting a partir de la obra de Ferenczi; explica el concepto de Spaltung en Freud y delinea el recorrido del mismo a partir de los diferentes momentos de su obra; establece las diferencias y similitudes entre splitting y algunos términos con los que suele confundirse: desintegración, fragmentación, escisión, clivaje, Spaltung, atomización, aniquilación y desmentida; y, por último, establece una relación entre el concepto ferencziano de splitting y el Spaltung freudiano.
Abstract
This article’s objective is to demonstrate that the concept of splitting introduced by Ferenczi differs qualitatively from the Freudian concept of Spaltung and is a novel concept for clinical psychoanalysis. Throughout the review, the confusion regarding the concepts of splitting and Spaltung in the psychoanalytic literature is highlighted and an effort is made to recover the importance of the Ferenczian concept. This way, the article defines the concept of splitting through the works of Sandor Ferenczi; explains the concept of Spaltung in Freud and outlines the turning points of it in the different moments of his work; establishes differences and similarities between splitting and some terms with which it is often confused: disintegration, fragmentation, schism, cleavage, Spaltung, atomization, annihilation and denial; and, finally, establishes a relation between the Ferenczian concept of splitting and the Freudian Spaltung
