¿Cuáles son las reivindicaciones que expresan los migrantes venezolanos frente a la política migratoria actualmente en Colombia por medio de organizaciones de base?

Resumen
La investigación busca evidenciar si la actual migración venezolana en Colombia percibe que la política migratoria vigente garantiza plenamente sus derechos humanos. En caso contrario, se indagan cuáles son sus demandas o reclamos, aquí definidos como reivindicaciones, frente a dicha política. El estudio se basa en el análisis de datos provenientes tanto de la literatura académica existente como de entrevistas semiestructuradas, realizadas entre febrero y marzo de 2025, con líderes y beneficiarios migrantes venezolanos vinculados a tres organizaciones no gubernamentales (ONG) de vocación humanitaria, radicadas en Colombia y dedicadas a apoyar a esta población. Los resultados se organizaron en torno a tres conceptos clave: la interseccionalidad, la legalidad liminal y la ciudadanía. En general, se encontró que la mayoría de los migrantes entrevistados no está satisfecha con su estatus migratorio en Colombia. En resumen, reivindican la facilitación de procesos de regularización migratoria y el acceso a mayores oportunidades laborales, demandas que se subdividen en categorías más específicas y responden a diversas motivaciones. El objetivo de esta investigación es dar voz a la población migrante en el contexto colombiano actual, ya que este enfoque es escasamente abordado en la literatura académica.
Abstract
The research aims to determine whether the current Venezuelan migration in Colombia perceives that the country’s existing migration policy fully guarantees their human rights. If not, the study explores what their demands or claims are, here defined as the Spanish word “reivindicaciones”, in response to that policy. The study is based on data analysis from both existing academic literature and semi-structured interviews conducted between February and March 2025 with Venezuelan migrant leaders and beneficiaries affiliated with three Colombia-based humanitarian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that support this population. The findings are organized around three key concepts: intersectionality, liminal legality, and citizenship. Overall, the majority of interviewed migrants expressed dissatisfaction with their migration status in Colombia. In summary, they call for the facilitation of regularization processes and improved access to employment opportunities—demands that are further categorized and motivated by diverse factors. The objective of this research is to amplify the voices of the migrant population within the current Colombian context, as this perspective is rarely addressed in academic literature.
