Influencia de las relaciones interprofesionales en el aprendizaje de los estudiantes en los ambientes prácticos de aprendizaje

dc.descriptionEn este estudio exploramos el impacto de las relaciones interprofesionales en el aprendizaje de los estudiantes de medicina en los entornos clínicos. Tradicionalmente, la educación médica se centra en la enseñanza intraprofesional, donde los estudiantes interactúan principalmente con sus compañeros y profesores. Sin embargo, este estudio destaca el papel importante que juegan las relaciones interprofesionales, involucrando a enfermeras, fisioterapeutas y otros profesionales de la salud, en el desarrollo de habilidades clínicas y el bienestar emocional de los estudiantes. Realizamos una investigación cualitativa basada en la Teoría Fundamentada Constructivista y la Teoría de Coparticipación de Billet, realizando 10 entrevistas semiestructuradas con estudiantes de medicina. El análisis identificó tres áreas clave donde las interacciones interprofesionales influyen en el aprendizaje: (1) La estimulación del aprendizaje a través de la creación de oportunidades de práctica. (2) El aprendizaje observacional como medio para profundizar conocimientos, y (3) el apoyo emocional, que fomenta la motivación y la resiliencia. Los resultados muestran que las relaciones interprofesionales ofrecen oportunidades de aprendizaje que van más allá de la esfera académica, permitiendo a los estudiantes involucrarse activamente en su proceso formativo. Sin embargo, desafíos como los ambientes competitivos y la limitada interacción con ciertos profesionales, como los nutricionistas, pueden entorpecer este proceso. Los hallazgos resaltan la necesidad de integrar más activamente a los actores interprofesionales en los currículos de formación médica y promover la colaboración para mejorar el aprendizaje práctico y el desarrollo profesional.
dc.description.abstractIn this study we explore the impact of interprofessional relationships on medical students' learning in clinical settings. Traditionally, medical education focuses on intraprofessional teaching, where students primarily interact with their peers and professors. However, this study highlights the important role that interprofessional relationships, involving nurses, physical therapists and other health professionals, play in the development of clinical skills and the emotional well-being of students. We conducted qualitative research based on Constructivist Grounded Theory and Billet's Coparticipation Theory, conducting 10 semi-structured interviews with medical students. The analysis identified three key areas where interprofessional interactions influence learning: (1) The stimulation of learning through the creation of practice opportunities. (2) Observational learning as a means to deepen knowledge, and (3) emotional support, which fosters motivation and resilience. The results show that interprofessional relationships offer learning opportunities that go beyond the academic sphere, allowing students to actively engage in their training process. However, challenges such as competitive environments and limited interaction with certain professionals, such as nutritionists, can hinder this process. The findings highlight the need to more actively integrate interprofessional actors into medical training curricula and promote collaboration to improve practical learning and professional development.
