dc.descriptionEsta investigación tiene como objetivo explicar la incidencia de la mediación del Papa Francisco en la resolución del conflicto entre Cuba y Estados Unidos. Para esto, a lo largo del texto se sostendrá que la mediación del Papa Francisco ha incidido en la medida que ha propiciado los pronunciamientos de los presidentes Barack Obama y Raúl Castro, anunciando el acuerdo sobre el inicio de la transformación del conflicto; la reapertura de embajadas y consulados en los Estados involucrados; la liberación de algunos presos políticos; y la eliminación de Cuba de la lista de países patrocinadores del terrorismo. El presente trabajo desarrollará la investigación mediante el método cualitativo, utilizando la revisión de artículos y medios de comunicación, para así describir en detalle las particularidades del caso sometido a estudio. Se empleará a su vez la teoría de la mediación de George R. Berridge y la teoría de la resolución de conflictos de Oliver Ramsbotham, Tom Woodhouse y Hugh Miall, para una mayor comprensión del caso aplicado.spa
dc.description.abstractThis research aims to explain the impact of the mediation of Pope Francis in the resolution of the conflict between Cuba and the United States. For this, the text will argue that the mediation of Pope Francis has hinged on the extent that has led to the pronouncements of the Presidents Barack Obama and Raul Castro, announcing the agreement on the beginning of the transformation of the conflict; the reopening of embassies and consulates in the States concerned; the release of some political prisoners; and the removal of Cuba from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism. The present work will develop research through the qualitative method, using the revision of articles and media, to describe in detail the particularities of the case under study. It will be used, at the same time, the theory of mediation of George R. Berridge and the theory of conflict resolution Oliver Ramsbotham, Tom Woodhouse and Hugh Miall for a greater understanding of the case applied.eng
