dc.description.abstractHigher education institutions (HEIs) are undergoing a significant transformation in their roles and responsibilities, evolving from traditional academic bastions into dynamic catalysts for innovation, industry collaboration, and social progress. This multifaceted shift was at the center of discussions during the conference Fostering Innovation Management and University-Business Linkages at Higher Education Institutions – iN4iN LATAM Chapter 2024, where educators, researchers, and practitioners explored how service-learning, capacity-building, and digital transformation can collectively generate tangible benefits for students, industries, and local communities. The insights presented here draw on a range of international case studies, highlighting the successes, challenges, and future trajectories for HEIs aiming to expand their societal impact through collaborative, high-impact educational approaches.
