dc.descriptionIntroducción: La especialidad de Medicina de Emergencias es una disciplina joven que aún lucha por consolidar su identidad profesional. Es fundamental comprender las relaciones interaccionales en el contexto de instituciones sociales con formas establecidas de ser y hacer las cosas, como factores determinantes en la construcción de la identidad profesional a través de variados alineamientos entre la identidad figurada y la posicional. Metodología: La metodología fue la autoetnografía de tres especialistas de Medicina de Emergencias usando entrevistas semiestructuradas, narrativas autobiográficas con posterior transcripción, análisis, codificación y agrupación de códigos basados en los elementos de la teoría de los mundos figurados, procurando explicar cómo las personas negocian, construyen interactúan entre sí y con el ambiente, produciendo y obteniendo identidades diferentes. Resultados: La identidad profesional se construye en el tiempo y evoluciona con la interacción con el entorno, se identificaron tres etapas con discursos diferentes: colonizando, buscando el poder y posicionamiento (con desalineación entre identidades) y gestionando el poder (con alineación progresiva, aunque variable y burnout por retroceso en posicionamiento). Conclusiones: A pesar de las diferentes agencias y discursos, los participantes deben seguir trabajando por el posicionamiento y la consolidación de la identidad profesional de la especialidad desde cada rol y posición. Este primer diagnóstico comprensivo de la importancia del entorno sociocultural en esa construcción favorece el posicionamiento de la especialidad dando herramientas a los especialistas en formación mostrando cómo ha evolucionado esta identidad, y cómo gestionarla mejor en el futuro llevando a disminución del burnout y menor abandono de la profesión.
dc.description.abstractIntroduction: The specialty of Emergency Medicine is a young discipline that is still struggling to consolidate its professional identity. It is essential to understand interactional relationships in the context of social institutions with established ways of being and doing things, as determining factors in the construction of professional identity through varied alignments between figurative and positional identity. Methodology: The methodology was the autoethnography of three Emergency Medicine specialists using semi-structured interviews, autobiographical narratives with subsequent transcription, analysis, coding and grouping of codes based on the elements of the theory of figured worlds, seeking to explain how people negotiate, They build and interact with each other and with the environment, producing and obtaining different identities. Results: Professional identity is built over time and evolves with interaction with the environment, three stages with different discourses were identified: colonizing, seeking power and positioning (with misalignment between identities) and managing power (with progressive alignment, although variable and burnout due to setback in positioning). Conclusions: Despite the different agencies and discourses, participants must continue working for the positioning and consolidation of the professional identity of the specialty from each role and position. This first comprehensive diagnosis of the importance of the sociocultural environment in this construction favors the positioning of the specialty by giving tools to training specialists, showing how this identity has evolved, and how to manage it better in the future, leading to a decrease in burnout and less abandonment of the profession.
