Integración regional y eficiencia en la infraestructura vial: impacto en los costos de transporte de carga terrestre

Resumen
El estudio se enfoca en analizar el costo de transporte de carga terrestre en Colombia y su relación con la infraestructura vial y la gestión administrativa, considerando tanto factores internos como interacciones espaciales entre los departamentos del país. Los resultados muestran que los costos de transporte tienden a incrementar a lo largo del tiempo y se identifican departamentos con una mayor variabilidad. Además, se establece una relación entre la calidad de la infraestructura vial y los costos de transporte de carga terrestre, lo que sugiere que una mejor gestión administrativa, una adecuada inversión en infraestructura y la colaboración interdepartamental pueden reducir los costos de transporte y mejorar la competitividad regional.
Abstract
The study focuses on analyzing the road freight transport cost in Colombia and its relationship with road infrastructure and administrative management, considering both internal factors and spatial interactions among the country's departments. The results reveal that transportation costs tend to increase over time, identifying departments with higher variability. Furthermore, a connection is established between the quality of road infrastructure and road freight transport cost, implying that improved administrative management, adequate infrastructure investment, and interdepartmental collaboration can lower transportation costs and enhance regional competitiveness.
