This document presents a program for preventing anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries aimed for female athletes who perform sports movements that include jumping, landing, deceleration, and changes of direction. First, the anatomy and biomechanical function of the ACL are described, emphasizing its role in knee stability by controlling anterior tibial translation and rotational loads. The epidemiology of these injuries is also discussed, showing a higher incidence in women and a high proportion of non-contact injuries, which have significant functional, athletic, and economic repercussions. Biomechanical and neuromuscular variables are identified as the main risk factors, including increased dynamic knee valgus, quadriceps dominance, insufficient activation of the hamstrings, poor lumbopelvic stability, and inadequate landing patterns, all of this contribute to multiplanar injury mechanisms. As a preventive strategy, a program structured into eight progressive sessions is proposed, integrating exercises focused on muscle strengthening, core stability, postural control, dynamic balance, and optimization of landing technique, with the aim of improving neuromuscular control and reducing the risk of ACL injury during sports practice.
