¿Los colombianos eligen a congresistas con investigaciones disciplinarias?

Resumen
Las elecciones de voto popular, permiten al ciudadano elegir libremente a aquellos funcionarios públicos que serán los responsables de gestionar proyectos para mejorar la calidad de vida del pueblo, así como la de administrar los recursos públicos que permitan llevar a cabo estas iniciativas, entre otras funciones. Sin embargo, se ha evidenciado que estos funcionarios públicos, en ocasiones, poseen investigaciones disciplinarias realizadas por la Procuraduría General de la Nación por presumiblemente haber actuado en contra de las funciones que como empleados públicos debieron cumplir. Para el caso del presente trabajo de grado, se estudiará el caso de las elecciones llevadas a cabo en los años 2010, 2014 y 2018 para elegir a los congresistas que conformarían el Congreso de la República en sus dos cámaras, Senado de la República y Cámara de Representantes, y si estos tenían o no una investigación disciplinaria en el momento de la elección.
Abstract
Popular voting elections allow citizens to freely choose those public officials who will be responsible for managing projects to improve the quality of life of the people, as well as managing the public resources that allow these initiatives to be carried out, among other functions. However, it has been shown that these public officials, on occasions, have disciplinary investigations carried out by the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation for presumably having acted against the functions that as public employees they should have fulfilled. For the case of this degree project, the case of the elections held in 2010, 2014 and 2018 will be studied to elect the congressmen who would make up the Congress of the Republic in its two chambers, the Senate of the Republic and the Chamber of Representatives, and whether or not they had a disciplinary investigation at the time of the election.
