Resumen
Este proyecto consiste en el análisis de la viabilidad financiera y operativa de PetSense, un collar inteligente que con ayuda de un dispositivo identifica por medio de diferentes sensores el estado de salud de las mascotas. Acompañado de una aplicación móvil, PetSense busca convertirse en el mejor aliado de los propietarios de mascotas para mediante diferentes servicios adicionales que generan valor agregado cono lo son el acceso a veterinarios, alertas de recordatorio y manejo de la historia clínica, llegar a posicionarse en el mercado. Tras un exhaustivo estudio de mercado, se identificó que existe una oportunidad para comercializar estos dispositivos en la ciudad de Bogotá y que puede tener una alta escalabilidad teniendo en cuenta la calidad de información que recogerá la aplicación y la importancia de la data a nivel global. El modelo financiero realizado indica que para el inicio de este negocio se requiere una inversión inicial de $120.000.000, que se obtendrán mediante recursos propios de las socias, con esta inversión y las proyecciones de ventas establecidas según el crecimiento del mercado y la recepción positiva de los propietarios de mascotas encuestados, se logró identificar una utilidad importante demostrando así la viabilidad del negocio y las oportunidades de crecimiento de este.
Abstract
This project consists of analyzing the financial and operational feasibility of PetSense, an intelligent collar that, with the help of a device, identifies the health status of pets through various sensors. Accompanied by a mobile application, PetSense aims to become the best ally for pet owners by providing additional services that add value, such as access to veterinarians, reminder alerts, and management of medical history, thus aiming to position itself in the market. Following an exhaustive market study, it was identified that there is an opportunity to commercialize these devices in the city of Bogotá and that it can have high scalability considering the quality of information collected by the application and the importance of data globally. The financial model indicates that an initial investment of $120,000,000 is required to start this business, which will be obtained through the partners' own resources. With this investment and the sales projections established based on market growth and the positive reception of surveyed pet owners, a significant profit was identified, thus demonstrating the viability of the business and its growth opportunities.
