Abstract
This project stemmed from the insufficient incorporation of mobile device-mediated teaching strategies in the Emotional Intelligence subject for 10th and 11th grade students at Colegio Areté in Bogotá, originating from limited teacher training in technology mediation and the absence of institutional guidelines for the pedagogical use of mobile devices in the classroom. To address this issue, the Design Thinking methodology was applied through the phases of empathy, definition, ideation, prototyping, and iteration, using interviews, journey mapping, Brainwriting, experimentation cards, and Likert surveys with teachers and school administrators. As a result, a hybrid teacher training course was designed that integrated technology mediation, teaching strategies contextualized to neurodiversity, and microlearning in weekly sessions of no more than one hour, including a face-to-face module focused on strengthening an innovative mindset. The future agenda contemplated a pilot implementation of the course during the second semester of 2026 and the exploration of its scalability to other institutions serving neurodiverse populations.
