Resumen
En este trabajo se busca analizar la relación entre inversión ambiental y Productividad Total de los Factores Verde (PTFV) para los establecimientos manufactureros de Colombia durante el periodo 2011 – 2019. En comparación con la Productividad Total de los Factores (PTF), la PTFV tiene en cuenta que durante el proceso productivo se generan bienes no deseables que afectan negativamente el medio ambiente (Rusiawan et al., 2015; Wang, Yang y Li, 2022). En primer lugar, se utiliza la metodología de análisis envolvente de datos (DEA por sus siglas en inglés) para calcular la PTFV y sus componentes: cambio en eficiencia y cambio tecnológico. En segundo lugar, los determinantes de la PTFV se analizan a través de un modelo dinámico de datos panel. En los resultados se encuentran diferencias estadísticamente significativas en la distribución de la PTFV de los establecimientos que llevaron a cabo inversiones ambientales en comparación con aquellos que no realizaron este tipo de inversiones. Asimismo, se obtiene que la relación entre inversión ambiental y PTFV es positiva y estadísticamente significativa, tanto en el corto como en el largo plazo
Abstract
This paper seeks to analyze the relationship between environmental investment and Total Green Factor Productivity (TFP) for manufacturing establishments in Colombia during the period 2011 - 2019. Compared to Total Factor Productivity (TFP), TFP has Taking into account that during the production process, undesirable goods are generated that negatively affect the environment (Rusiawan et al., 2015; Wang, Yang and Li, 2022). First, the data envelopment analysis (DEA) methodology is used to calculate TFP and its components: efficiency change and technological change. Second, the determinants of TFPV are analyzed through a dynamic panel data model. In the results, statistically significant differences are found in the distribution of the PTFV of the establishments that carried out environmental investments in comparison with those that did not make this type of investment. Likewise, it is obtained that the relationship between environmental investment and PTFV is positive and statistically significant, both in the short and long term
